Dewie "Butch" Silver

"Butch" Silver entered the electrical trade in December 1982 at Borrell Electric Co. Inc. He completed the four-year state approved apprenticeship program in 1986, graduating second in his class.
Butch Silver continued his electrical education taking a number of continuing courses, including motor controls and National Electrical Code. In September 1986 he passed the Hillsborough County Journeyman's Exam with a grade of 94%.
In 1984 Butch was promoted to job foreman, completing a number of projects, including two (2) four-story office buildings for Allstate Insurance, a computer center for GTE Data Services, and a printing facility for Deluxe Check Printing Company. He served as job foreman on a 520,000 square-foot parking garage for USAA-SERHO, and as job supervisor for the office building for Tech Data Corporation.
Butch was promoted to General Superintendent in 1994 and is responsible for manpower, quality control, safety enforcement, scheduling, and shares the responsibility for "on-time" completion, within budget, of all projects.
Butch is also responsible for overall coordination with other trades on the various job sites and harmonious customer and labor relations.
