Peter Klein

Service Department Manager

Peter Klein was born in Budapest, Hungary. His family came to the USA in 1956, and settled in New York. Peter graduated from State University of New York at Albany with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1974 and a degree of Masters in Arts in 1975.

Peter moved to Florida in 1976, and took an interest in the electrical trade. He started working for a local Electrical Contractor and over the next numerous years attended several education classes relating to the electrical field. During this time, Peter was involved with many new construction projects and was promoted to Job Foreman. His interest in electrical became more evident when Peter achieved his Certification for Master Electrical Contractor in 1986. He became a Project Manager shortly thereafter and handled tenant remodel and new building construction. He was responsible for the estimate, the ordering of the electrical equipment, scheduling of manpower, and daily management of the project.

Peter started at Borrell Electric in 1988, as a Project Manager in the Major Service Department. His duties involved estimating and management of new commercial projects that ranged from tenant improvements to new construction of buildings.

Shortly thereafter, Peter was offered the position of Service Manager in the Service Department. It started out with Peter and two electricians that soon turned into a full Service Department that consisted of many Service Electricians as well as an Administrative Assistant. Over the years the department has grown to have a fleet of Service Vans, electricians that report directly to a customer’s facility, an assistant Project Manager, and an Administrative Assistant. Peter is responsible for estimating, initiating proposals, scheduling, management, and supervising of manpower. He is also involved with invoicing and collections. From Residential, commercial and industrial service calls; Peter has provided the client with the upmost attention to assure absolute customer satisfaction. The Service Department has also been involved with small scale tenant build-outs to small scale new buildings.
